At Jeff's Breads, sourdough isn’t just bread—it’s a way of life.
Everything begins with fermentation. Flour, water, and time come together in a slow, natural process that transforms simple ingredients into bread that is flavorful, nourishing, and easier to digest. Our dough ferments over many hours—sometimes days—allowing natural enzymes and wild yeast to break down complex carbohydrates and gluten, resulting in bread that’s gentler on the body and rich in depth and character. We don’t rush it, because good bread—and good life—requires patience.
That patience comes from family values.
Around the table, food was never just food. It was how we connected, how we slowed down, and how we showed care for one another. Those values shape everything we do in our bakery: attention to detail, respect for the process, and pride in choosing quality over convenience.
We use un-bromated flour because what goes into your bread matters. Unlike bromated flour, which contains potassium bromate—a chemical additive used to speed up dough strength—non-bromated flour is free from unnecessary additives. Potassium bromate has been linked to health concerns and is banned in many parts of the world. By choosing un-bromated flour, we’re choosing a cleaner, more natural ingredient that allows fermentation—not chemicals—to do the work.
The result is bread that’s not only better tasting, but better for you.

What started as a simple morning question—how could biscotti be healthier and more flavorful?—became a passion project in Jeff’s kitchen. After countless test batches and careful refinements, he created a perfectly balanced biscotti made with wholesome ingredients, richer flavor, and just the right crunch. Now part of the Jeff’s Breads lineup, each handmade batch is crafted with care, using honest ingredients and a whole lot of love—perfect for dunking and savoring.
